Adding assets to your library

Since February 28th, 2022, the CRYENGINE Marketplace has become the CRYENGINE Asset Library and only free assets are available. If you previously purchased assets for money, they are still available to you in your library for re-download. 

If you want to check out any assets from the Asset Database, they are added to your library immediately.

  1. From the asset page click the Add to Library button.
  2. A modal window will open. Check the box to agree to the terms, and click the Add to Library button
  3. You will see a confirmation window confirming your checkout, and a confirmation will be sent to the email address associated with your account.

The asset will be available to download in the CRYENGINE launcher. Go to Library > My Assets on the launcher to download your assets.

Downloading assets

Any assets you have added to your library will be available to download through the CRYENGINE launcher.

  1. Download and install the launcher.
  2. Open the launcher and log in with the account you used to check out your assets.
  3. From the menu go to Library › My Assets.
  4. Click the Download button on the assets you want to download to your hard drive. You can manage the download location in the launcher from the Settings page.

Transferring assets to another account

It's not possible to transfer your asset library from one account to another. If there's an issue with your account please send a support request to us via our Contact page.

Troubleshooting

I can't access one of my assets.

First, make sure you're logged in to the website or launcher using that account that you used to check out your asset. You can find out which account was used by checking the confirmation email. If the problem persists please get in touch via the Contact page.

An asset I acquired isn't compatible with the latest version of CRYENGINE.

If you have acquired an asset from the Asset Database that is not compatible with the latest version of CRYENGINE, please get in touch with the respective contributor. Contributor contact information can be found on the asset page, or on the checkout confirmation email.

I'm unable to update one of my assets.

Typically this issue arises when assets have not been downloaded and checked out on the account that you are currently logged into. Please make sure that you are logged into the account associated with the asset library in question.
