If you’re heading to QUO VADIS, a game development conference which is taking place April 8-9 in Berlin, don’t forget to sign up for a special workshop held by our very own Learning Manager, Brian Dilg. Tickets for the event are still available, and by signing up for the workshop, you’ll get a free CRYENGINE t-shirt. The workshop is designed to help you streamline CRYENGINE game development with practical examples from teams of all sizes, from solo outfits all the way up to AAA. CRYENGINE community staff, Cry-Nic and Cry-Flare will also be at the conference, and if you track down one of our friendly team members, don’t forget to say hello and pick up a free CRYENGINE pin badge!
Topics covered during the workshop will include:
Full description of the session:
“Game development is software development, but it is also art, storytelling, music, world-building, and much more. An efficient game design team streamlines production and maximizes the skills that its members bring to diverse development tasks, from methodical problem-solving to subtle design. In this workshop, we’ll look at case studies from games built in CRYENGINE V by teams ranging from one person to over 150 as examples of how to strategically make the most of development resources. We’ll discuss visual scripting vs. coding and when to choose one or both to ensure that your team can work simultaneously and seamlessly, making sure each person’s skills are best used.
“If you’d like to follow along on your own laptop, please pre-install the latest version of CRYENGINE V and the Homebound game asset from the CRYENGINE marketplace. You can find helpful instructions for installing and getting started in the beginner’s guide.”
