Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts from CI Games, powered by CRYENGINE, was at E3 with new gameplay footage and details.
It’s time to re-calibrate your scope and take aim at Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, the latest game in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series from CI Games. Playable at E3, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts presents players with hundreds of ways to take down a wide range of targets with its intense sniping gameplay.
Sign up as an assassin for hire and take on open-ended contracts and side-goals as you head into the beautiful yet brutal wilds of Siberia and fight to survive in snow-covered mountains and lush forests, home to targets and secret bases. You’re not just equipped with your trusty sniper either. You can eliminate enemies with silent take-downs using knives and pistols which reward you for strategic, stealthy play and you can deploy a range of new gadgets including drones, remote sniper turrets, sticky bombs, and toxic gas.
As you take down the targets in your contracts, you’ll also have to stay alive to the threat of rivals who are out to disrupt your plans and take the bounty for themselves. The game also includes a series of new maps which present strategic multiplayer action in online team deathmatch modes.
After listening to their community, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts marks a shift away from open-world gameplay to a sandbox experience designed to offer more replayability and a dense, more intense play through. An enhanced scope mode allows you to zoom in far more than you could before and take down targets with precision. With every shot, you will have to take into account distance, wind, sound, and the ammunition you are using. Find out more with IGN’s interview with Art Director Rick Nath below:
