May 12-13, VRX Europe, London, UK
George Scotto, the Director of Business Development for CRYENGINE will take a retrospective look at CRYENGINE in a keynote talk. If you stop by our booth, you can try our debut VR free solo rock climbing game, The Climb, which was released last month.
May 16-17, Creative Coast Festival, Karlshamm, Sweden
Sina Els, an Environmental Artist at Crytek, will give a talk titled Environmental Narrative and Its Use in Video Games. From the Creative Coast Festival program: “Stories aren’t just scripts. In this talk we’ll cover how artists can drive narrative through environmental art and design, why it’s so important to create rich and interesting game worlds, and look at how good games do story really well.”
May 18-20, Nordic Game Conference, Malmö, Sweden
Lead Programmer Dario Sancho will discuss VR and The Climb in a talk titled Scaling New Heights in VR: How Crytek Created The Climb. Alexander Bergendahl, CEO and Game Director of Poppermost Productions, a studio using CRYENGINE for their up-coming snowboarding title SNOW, will also be giving a talk. Check the program for details.
May 24-25, GermanDevDays, Frankfurt am Main, Germany
You can expect to find some Crytek faces at GermanDevDays speaking and mingling, though we won’t be revealing any names until closer to the event.
