Community Spotlight: War of Rights

Every week we bring you a sample of our favorite community games, levels and assets. Today we bring you another successful Kickstarter story of CRYENGINE's indie users, War of Rights: an ambitious multiplayer shooter that wants to present the events of the American Civil War in the most realistic and historically correct way possible!

War of Rights is a multiplayer game set during the perilous days of the American Civil War, in the Maryland Campaign of September, 1862.
The guys over at Campfire Games are quite busy working on their game, War of Rights, they recently released a news article for it.

Below is a video showcasing the new assets from the update.

Lot or work went into the characters to make them believable. It's great to see the amount of detail and love being put into this game.

The characters comes great detail, complete with stitches in the shoes and wrinkled pants.

The weapons in this game is also based on real weapons of the era, in this case the 1854 Lorenz Rifle which was loved by both sides of the war. This weapon sold a total of 327.000 units for both the The Union Army and the Confederates.

The team also teamed up with award winning musician, Markus Schmidt. Markus has worked on more than 100 game soundtracks ranging from Crysis 2 to Halo, the Anno series and The Settlers. He's now at work creating an American Civil War inspired soundtrack for War of Rights.

So if you like what you see and want to back these guys, head over to their website for further info.
