Check out the AMA with CRYENGINE General Manager Arto Ruotsalainen, who answered questions from the community about the now and future of our engine.
We recently hosted an hour-long AMA with CRYENGINE General Manager Arto Ruotsalainen on our official Discord channel, where we invited everyone in the CRYENGINE community to submit their questions and hear them answered live. The AMA followed last year's reveal of the CRYENGINE 5.7 roadmap and plans for the future of our engine, and it was our pleasure to welcome so many of you to the session.
The AMA was a great open forum with a wide range of areas covered, and we would like to take this moment to thank everyone for participating. Topics discussed included the forthcoming 5.7 Long Term Support Update, future CRYENGINE Beta program for licensees and partners, the transition of the CRYENGINE Marketplace to a free asset database, and general game dev and marketing support for indie game developers. The high-level vision for the future of the engine also featured, including discussions about tool integrations that the team is looking into, improving the engine's user experience, and new and emerging technologies.
If you missed the AMA, you can check out a recording of the session on YouTube below.
The session was a big success, and it was great for Arto and our team to have the opportunity to directly address so many of the hot topics in the community. We will be looking to host similar events in the future, so if you missed out on participating this time around, there will be more chances to ask the team your questions directly later this year.
Until then, if you have questions or feedback about CRYENGINE, let us know in the comments, on the forum, or via Facebook and Twitter. You can pick up tips and tricks about our game development, ask questions, and more by joining our community and the CRYENGINE development team over on our official CRYENGINE Discord channel.
If you find a bug in the engine, please report it directly on GitHub, which helps us to process the issue quickly and efficiently. Don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel, where we host a range of content, including tutorials covering all aspects of the engine and game design. Want to show your love for CRYENGINE?
